    Interesting. PCP power from a canister! Currenlty, I'm paying $8-12 for Co2 cartridges to power my MPX and DPMS. Both of which are seriously under powered for any kind of pesting. Sure, they're fun or I'd have gotten rid of them. However, I took a friend with me to shoot pigeons are a farm and he insisted that his Co2 rifle was up to the task. The first pigeon he shot flew off despite being shot center chest. My friend chased it down to a back fence and shot it again. And again ti flew off behind some pens. He followed it and put another round into it and when it didn't go down despite being shot three times, my friend gave up. This would NOT have happened if my friend had been using PCP level power on that damn bird! I'll be telling my friend about the Komplete as what's holding him back is that he doesn't want to invest in all the accessories necessary to go full PCP.

    If I wanted a pcp for occasional hunting. This would be extremely hard to beat. The cost and effort would be minimal and the performance is great. That would keep me from having the high investment of traditional PCPs. This is assuming Iam new to the pcp world, without the equipment to fill one. Alot of people don't shoot over 500 round in a year. Looking at it from that perspective, it's a cheap way to go. Around $100 bucks (10 nitro cylinders) for a year of shooting. I think it's a excellent idea.

    your big mistake here is the break barrel will loose quality over time due to wearing or loose tightness at the barrel hinge. To be real you should test guns that had fired at least 50K shoots.

It never fails that the skeptics and "experts" come out in force to beat down anything new or innovative. Yea it'd cost you over $111 to shoot through 500 pellet tin of 22 cal , 11 canisters 45 shots each. By the time you shoot 1500 pellets or 3 tins you could have afforded a cheap Chinese air compressor for right at 300.

    It's not worth it to me. For $200, looking to go pcp, I'd go with Crosman 3622 or the new JTS offering(both ~$150)and get a hand pump for $40. 3600 psi is doable, I'm 50 yrs old, too. Better power, worse shot count(no regulator,but always could add in the future), but you never spend another dime except for pellets. And you have unlimited air for the future. Also, it would be a gun you could work on yourself. Not a one-piece polymer receiver. I just don't see an upside to this package.

    Hello Fellow. Airgunners, Granted, it’s more expensive than CO2, but for people living in sub-freezing temps., it’s a viable option compared to a Hammerli which like all CO2 products, is temperature dependent. This is a budget friendly survival tool. Hammerli should offer the 850 Air Magnum using this technology. That’s a good Segway into my next point, the most exciting aspect of this invention to me. That is, does this mean Umarex can now apply this technology into any and all CO2 products, like all the beautiful replicas that always leave one wanting; in the performance area?Can Umarex make 12 gram versions w/Nitrogen so a replica Peacemaker can shoot like a p.c.p.? That would be game changing, especially for survivalists that can’t justify purchasing CO2 in cold climates. I can’t wait to see how far Umarex and other companies take this technology. All the bad ass replica firearms that only operate on either CO2 or Green gas, if it’s possible to re-design them using Nitrogen, that would be transformative; I would imagine with the aficionados of Western era firearms, that have yet to enjoy air gun versions that satisfy in all areas, and older chaps that would enjoy the ease of use. Big potential here; especially if the Nitrogen becomes more affordable.

    • @pyramydair
      @pyramydair День тому

      The lack of temp sensitivity is definitely a worthwhile point. Makes this an interesting gun for those that want a "prepper" tool that is ready to go when they need it without hauling pumps, tanks or compressors around. And the pistol part is interesting as well. In general, it will be interesting to see where and how this is used in the future. No doubt about that

    Where I live I pay $6 to fill a 12 litre scuba tank to 4500 psi and I live inland far from any sea. Yes, I needed to buy a scuba tank. Found one used for $50 got it approved for another $120. With these gas canisters it will cost a fortune in the end so it's not a surprise that the rifle itself is on the cheap side. And I guarantee that within a year you want to replace it with a proper pcp. So from my own experience of buying cheap pcp I recommend to pay the extra money to get a something for $1000 plus. A small tip. Ask your local fire department kindly and respectfully if they would consider to fill a scuba tank for you once in a while. Many of them can consider doing so as long as your scuba tank are up to date on inspections. Most time they just take a small donation to the coffee and cake fond, works at least here in sweden.😊 First pcp Hatsan gladius. Current pcp Edgun leshiy 2.

    I notice you didn’t mention the price of the price of the air cartridges in the video??? Seems to me that would be the deal killer right there! For the price of a year’s cartridge supply for shooting, you could buy a compressor or a carbon fiber tank. It needs an adapter for a Ninja bottle like the Gauntlet so that people won’t have to throw it in the trash heap when they get serious about shooting!

    • @pyramydair

Yet it seems simple but more expensive at the same time. I shoot 300 to 500 rounds a day ,doing pest control. that would come out to 12 cylinders a day at 11.50, that is 138 dollars a day. Not to mention pellets or lighter slugs. I do like the idea and might get one just for around the house but i see it being to expensive for a serious hunter or pester. I do like the ergonomics and design. Kudos to Umarex .but i would like to see a conversion later for a 300 or 480 cc bottle down the road( with a 250 bar fill) Or take the bottle from the Avenge X and shave off 6-8 inches from the bottle and convert it to fit the Komplete. If this was my 1st airgun? Yes, I'd be all into it. It appears to be a great gateway gun. As much as I like to shoot though? I could potentially spend $115 a week on cartridges... 5 weeks of shooting I coulda bought a compressor and, at a similar price point, a Notos Carbine or Hatsan Jet II which are both FUN AS HELL guns that are a joy to shoot and fill fast off a ReadyAir. Now, as for introducing my nephew to modern airgunning? It's an attractive gift option. If you bought this for a neophyte marksman and they cooled to the idea or shot sparingly, you wouldn't suffer the buyer's remorse. Plus, Umarex makes good stuff (good thing, because their customer service is not very friendly in my experience. My PPQ M2 slide EXPLODED off the frame and I have a ReadyAir that shows an "S" fault after travelling ONCE, but they were such jerks when I called I guess I'm flushing that $800)

      This is my general thought process as well. It should be a great way to get folks into it, show them the potential of PCPs and make the decision to get a fill source and a bigger/better gun way easier. Would make a good camping gun too if you didn't want to hault a tank or compressor around.

      Yea it'd cost you over $111 to shoot through 500 pellet tin of 22 cal , 11 canisters 45 shots each. By the time you shoot 1500 pellets or 3 tins you could have afforded a cheap Chinese air compressor for right at 300.

    The nitrogen cartridges appear difficult to source, I've found lots of small ones and the large ones appear to be for dispensing beverages @ $22 - $24.00 a piece. If that's what it's going to cost every time you want to go shootin', soon adds up, be better off buying a PCP with a budget compressor which will pay for itself over time. You could give me the gun for free but I'm not interested if have to pay $25 every time I use it. Unless of course I've got the price wrong and the price of Nitro cartridges for it are substantially cheaper. Is a nice gun tho', excellent value for $200

      These are brand new, so you're not going to find them everywhere just yet. It's about $11.50 per cartridge (you buy in packs of two). But I get what you're saying. Either way, if you do the cost analysis based on how much you want to shoot, and decide to bite the bullet and buy a traditional PCP and fill source OR if you decide to go this route with the Komplete, I'm happy to get a newbie into the PCP fold.

    Thanks Tyler and Umarex. Great N2 rifle. it works for a limited use pesting rifle in all weather conditions 👍👍. The Umarex Iconix should be a better choice for a "shooter who target practices and pests. I think the under $250 entry level PCP rifles are great and with a inexpensive Vevor hand pump, one has a much better platform. N2 is a great stable platform. Living in the Northwoods I wish it was used to replace the Co2 in air pistols for year round use and a more FPS.

    Come on guy's it's a umarex the air guns world leader in cheap plastic pos guns I may a little jaded because any umarex I have had is a total piece of junk. Constantly buying $12 cartridges is a good way to get into pcp? The crossman 3622 is $200 with a pump if you find the deal. They didn't mention this at shot show because they would be laughed at. For what is available now days this is a horrible idea and will probably be flop for them. This is NOT a pcp it's is a cartarige gun. My comments are in no way against pyramyd air they are great and Tyler just doing his job
